Keski-Uudenmaan Radioamatöörit ry (OH2AP, Radio Amateurs of Central Southern Finland) is a registered, nonprofit association (Business ID 3028427-8). As a community of dedicated HAM radio enthusiasts, we are committed to fostering education, public service, and emergency preparedness. We provide accessible HAM radio courses and administer license examinations to empower individuals with radio communication skills. In collaboration with local governments, we support emergency communications to ensure community resilience during crises. Our doors are always open to novices and the public, as we believe in sharing knowledge and building a connected, prepared, and informed society.

We are a radio hobby club with some 90 members from several communities in the region north of the Helsinki metropolitan area.

The club station is located in Järvenpää, 30 km north of Helsinki. The club is operating an HF station and two VHF/UHF repeater stations, and participates in various HAM radio activities.

Club meetings

Club meetings are on Thursday evenings, starting at 18:00, in the club room in Kartanontie 20, Järvenpää, 2nd floor: a yellowish wooden house called ’Seuratalo’ on the hill top near the ’Järvenpää talo’ building, the library and the railway station. Every now and then, we may have the club session elsewhere; info about this is in the front web page.

Note: During the CoVid-pandemic, the club meetings were still on thursdays but on ’MS Teams’ remote mode. Now as the situation is somewhat stabilized, the meetings are held in ’hybrid mode’, i.e. there is a meeting at the club location and also a ’Teams’ session link is active. Check the club web page for a link.

For the month of July, the club is on holidays.

To commemorate the 60 years of operations, the club reserved a special call OF60AP for the year 2025. The campaign is closed now, the log pages showing over 33.00 QSOs. Our club gives a special thank you to all participants in this activity.

The Award points have been calculated from the station log files and the respective awards have been sent to the recipients by e-mail.
