OH2AP Keski-Uudenmaan Radioamatöörit – Radio Amateurs in Central Southern Finland – is a radio hobby club with some 90 members from several communities in the region north of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
The club station is located in Järvenpää, 30 km north of Helsinki. The club is operating an hf station and two vhf/uhf repeater stations, and participates in various ham radio activities.
Club meetings
Club meetings are on Thursday evenings, starting at 6 pm., in the club room in Kartanontie 20, Järvenpää, 2nd floor : a yellowish wooden house called ‘Seuratalo’ on the hill top near the ‘Järvenpää talo’ building, the library and the railway station. Every now and then, we may have the club session elsewhere; info about this is in the front web page.
Note: During the CoVid-pandemic, the club meetings were still on thursdays but on ‘MS Teams’ remote mode. Now as the situation is somewhat stabilized, the meetings are held in ‘hybrid mode’, i.e. there is a meeting at the club location and also a ‘Teams’ session link is active. Check the club web page for a link.
For the month of July, the club is again on holidays.

Special calls
The club station call is OH2AP, with special event calls OH2OV and OH2NP. In year 2017, many club members were operating with a Centennial Celebration call OH100FIN. Club QSL cards will be handled via bureau.
To commemorate the 60 years of operations, the club reserved a special call OF60AP. During the year 2025, the club members will activate all the following club calls: OF60AP, OH2AP, OH2NP and OH2OV, in a special campaign. Contacts with these calls during 2025 can be rewarded with a special award:
OF60AP award
During the year 2025, our radio amateur colleagues have the possibility to acquire a special anniversary award for the contacts held with OH2AP, OH2NP, OH2OV and/or OF60AP on different bands and modes. A contact gives 1 point per club station call, band, and mode. The Basic award level requires 10 , Bronze level 20 , Silver level 40, and Gold award level 60 contact points. The bands in use are on 1,8 – 432 MHz.
Thus, for example: 80m ssb and cw QSOs with OF60AP, 40m cw QSOs with OH2AP and OF60AP, 160m QSO with OH2OV, and 30m ft8 QSO with OH2NP result in 6 award points
The Award is requested by sending to OH2AP by e-mail (to oh2ap(at)oh2ap(dot)fi ) a summary log excerpt in either .adif -format log file or, alternatively, as .pdf -format pages not later than by Jan. 7, 2026. The award is delivered free of charge by e-mail in .pdf -format.
